terrorism is quite scary, but in singapore i think it will not happen. If something like terrorism happen in singapore we should be careful and protect ourself and do not travel unnecessarily. If something like that happen, if it is not near my house i will not be scared if it is near my house i will be more careful when on my own. If terrorism happen in singaporem, all primary and secondary school will sure be close and we can stay home and relax, like today we will use E-Learning to communicate with teacher and teacher will give homework using this software.

According to legend, an Ethiopian goatherd skipped around after eating coffee cherries when he saw his goats doing the same after eating the cherries. Coffee was a simple food and beverage for African tribesmen. Now, it is sold in large quantities worldwide. As one of the top in value in trade. All coffee exporting countries depend on coffee as the main income. Many people depend on it for their living and drink coffee a lot. In 1975, a frost killed almost half of Brazil’s coffee trees which changed the prices drastically. In 1979, frost hit Brazil again, every tree lost result in no income for a three to five years. The income loss is huge considering 15 million trees were lost Brazil had to stop the export of coffee Importers bought it in bulk afraid of the shortage. Prices increased and farmers planted more and Coffee was in abundant and the prices fell. Farmers began substituting coffee for other crops. Both producers and consumers decided to limit production to what the market can absorb, to have a reserve and sell at an agreeable price.

5 WEEK RESERCH AND SUMMARY

For my group, we decided to do on animal conservation on tigers and iguanas in India. Before the research, I though that both iguana’s and tiger is quite common and can find it almost every jungle in the world.
However after the research on Details of tiger in India I found that tiger is quite rare nowadays and it is under conservation, and India contains 60% of the world's tigers; as recently as 1970 it was still legal to hunt them and to export skins. During the 1950s and early 1960s it is recorded that more than 3,000 tigers lost their lives to trophy hunters, most of these being tourists and now they are endangered.
After all this research I found that tiger are protected, I also learned that we are the one causing their death we buy things made from their skin claws and even eat their meats. The things that we could do to help are to not buy things created from their skin or from them. We also should not clear the forest for building or creating more spaces for us all this are the causes of it clearing forest is like clearing their habitat.

This week we will do on details of Iguanas in India. The things I know about iguanas. I don’t even know it is endangered because it can be seen in Singapore, last year our class went to a place with my science teacher for a tour and we saw iguanas walking around. That makes me think it is not that endangered.
This is the researches we made, the iguanas have strong jaws, long tails and strong legs with long, sharp claws, and the iguana family includes about 30 different species. The West Indian iguanas (including the iguanas in the Bahamas) are a very special group of iguanas. They are among the most endangered of the world’s lizards.
The iguanas, if you look under the chin of most iguanas you will see a large loose flap of skin. This is called the Dewlap. The Dewlap can be moved in or out. The iguana sticks out its dewlap if it wants to show off or warn attackers. The dewlap also has many blood vessels running through the shallow skin. If it is a hot day, the iguana can stick out its dewlap to let heat escape. If it is a cold day, then the iguana can stand in the sun and stick out its dewlap to absorb as much sun rays as possible to warm up it’s body.

This week we are doing on causes of tigers and iguanas decreasing.
ž For the tigers, the causes of the fast decrease in the tiger population are well known both by the government and common people. The increasing pressure on Tiger habitats due to agriculture, industrialization and degradation and fragmentation of natural habitats, forests and natural grasslands are one of the main reasons for the decrease of Tiger population and for that matter all wildlife in India. Hunting of their skin and teeth for decoration and making of cloth with their skin, all this are cause of population decreasing for tigers.
ž For the iguanas, their habitats are being destroyed for housing or farming. People have also introduced foreign animals to the small’s islands, which eat small iguanas and/or iguana eggs, and destroy the habitats even further. And natural disasters such as hurricane have serious effect on their habitats.
After all this researches I found out that we are the cause of all this, and should be stopped immediately although immediately is impossible but we should try our best to stop all this.

This week we are doing the effect of iguanas and tiger decreasing, we will do on what problem will happen without them.
For the tigers, due to the poaching of many tigers, the population itself is rapidly decreasing in numbers. India, which had 40,000 tigers just one century ago, now has about 1’411 tigers left in the country, which is a huge decrease in number. This may cause over-growth of the prey population, and it will cause the prey to compete for food, and such, this will cause the population of these animals to decrease.
For the iguanas, due to the loss of many Iguanas, the ecosystems they belong to suffered serious problems, this may also cause over-growth of the prey population, and it will cause the prey to compete for food, and such, this will cause the population of these animals to decrease.
And if all these continue it causes a lot of animal to get extinct and we will not see those precious animals any more. We should not do all this and instead we should stop all this. We need to stop those poachers continuing to hunt all this innocent animal.

This week we will do on possible solution for this entire problem, to curb this problem, India has set up a few conservations for both Tigers and Iguanas.
For tigers, one of them is the ‘Tiger Trust’
Started in 1989 by the late Kailash Sankhala, a non- governmental organization, their aims is to increase awareness of natural conservation.
And for iguanas, one of them is the ‘Iguana Specialist group, formerly the West Indian Iguana Specialist Group and their aims is to help create and set up effective conservations for iguanas.
All we can do is support them with all we can and do not buy thing create buy all animal not just tigers and iguanas. When we stop buying all this things the price of it will drop and the poachers will not hunt tigers and iguanas and other animal with such a low prices.
We hope that we can help by doing all this!

Summary

After doing 5 week of research and tough work, I finally know that how important is Tiger and Iguanas, and without them what will we lost.
Before we have been assigned to this project, I did not know that how precious it is for tigers and Iguanas and other animal, beside that I also did not know that they are even endangered species. However my perspective change when my do my research.
During the research I found out what the thick skin below the iguanas head is use for, and also some detail that I never know about, I also learn that tigers in India contains 60% of the world population, I never know it would be so much I also know about the causes that decreasing there population, they are cause by us, we are the one that make all those, when we don’t have enough space to build we destroy they habitat for building our habitat, when we need places for farming we burn down their habitat again for our farm, and we bring weird animal that does not belong there and leave it there, that may cause the iguanas or their eggs to be eaten, all this including wild disaster can bring down their habitat.
WE NEED TO STOP ALL THIS!!!!!

we started with some question and answer with the teacher of nan yang poly about Total Defence day, after that we have our school red cross to present their work, they teach us how to help a injured person and also teach us what to use when in situation without those equipment needed. After that it is National Police Cadet Corp( NP CC ) turn, that teach us how to carry a person on a bed or something, which is not very exciting. At last it is NCC turn, they teach us how to self defence and what to do under some situation.

After that we went for our cross country, we started running and i was very tired, however i continued to run i managed to get 22 in cross country, after that we went down to take Milo drink and after drinking, it is time for prize presentation. Although i never get any prize i was happy.

second blog

“Hey! Boys want go shopping today, we need to buy things for New Year! “Mum told us.
“Ok lor. Since there is nothing to do at home.” I replied.
My mother, brother and me went to hougang mall to look for some Chinese new year decoration and tibits. The place was full of people walking around and the design there was like have the spirit of New Year. The whole place was like a red packet, red colour are so popular during Chinese new year , all the shop was selling red thing and the background was also red. We started looking for tibits, decoration and cloths. We went into each shop one by one to look for those things.
Suddenly there is a black out, it is pitch dark everywhere and I started screaming at the top of my voice, my phobia of dark has started, it is called “achluopobia”, my mother keep calming me but it is no use, I keep screaming, my brother walk away as if I he don know me and everyone was look at us, I was so scared that I nearly wet my pants, my mother keep calming me and said that she would buy a ps3 for me, I stop shouting immediately and say, “you say one hor, don forget.”
“Joking, haha.” mother reply with lightning speed.
“What did u say? Are u trying to be funny with me!” I replied.
When I wanted to scream again the light was restored and I covered my face and walked away into the toilet, I know the light was not totally restored when I entered the toilet. The light suddenly turn off in the toilet, “not again!” I told my self.
I started screaming again at the top of my voice, a security came to me pointing the touch light at my face and asked, “Are you OK?”
“Maybe” I answered.
The security brought me out of the toilet and my mother grab my hand and walk out of the mall, and told me, “we will buy those thing the other day”
I walked quietly home with my mother and my brother.
